About Us

The Pavilion was built on the family farm located just off of the Black Water arm of Smith Mountain Lake. Being placed in the rolling hills of Franklin County, it only seemed fit to have the pavilion represent the rustic natural beauty of the woods surrounding it. We made use of old doors, windows, copper sinks, foundation rocks, along with burled maple, cedar, barn, and poplar boards to give this the feel that it came from, and belonged on the farm. It is surrounded by fenced horse pastures grazed by majestic black percherons and hefty belgians, and hay fields joined by wooded mountains. We have an old cabin fixed with rocking chairs and a swing to relax with open country around you. A falling down barn that traps the old school look and adds a certain hint of the simpler times, and a huge rock both serve as great settings for the memorable pictures to come. The interior of The Pavilion houses a large kitchen ready to prep meals for the family. The bathrooms are engulfed in large mirrors and copper sinks sitting on split logs. The rough sawn boards that line the walls give it the outdoors feeling with the indoors comfort. Stepping out through the hallway, you come to the main part of the pavilion. The open rafters and dark textured floors accompanied by the large rock fireplace starring out at the open country create a relaxing setting. Built with love to give away their only daughter, the Seneff’s pavilion is the right place to celebrate. This building was a family project that joined us all together, working day in and out, side by side, we all got the job done. Every aspect of this pavilion has a little story that comes filled with memories. All together this lovely venue is the place to make your own memories, so call us at 540-420-5625 to set up a time to see it!
